As the summer season comes to a close, the FOHP volunteers are very happy to be back to something like normal!
Wednesday Volunteers
The Wednesday volunteers have been busy keeping the park free from litter and tending to the flowers beds. As well as the beautiful display in the bed by the Park Cafe, they have also dug over and replanted the bed by the entrance to the park. The newly planted bed is a big improvement, I am sure we can all agree!
If you’d like to volunteer, then come along and join in from 9.30 am, every Wednesday, by the Park Cafe.
Autumn Programme
With restrictions lifted, the weekend volunteering programme has started up again, with the first activity being the fence painting on Saturday 11th September, 10.30 am (meet by the park cafe). The fence around the paddling pool and play area has been painted with one coat of paint but the fence needs a second coat. That will make sure the fence stays colourful for many years to come.
After that, we see the welcome return of the Annual Produce Sale on Sunday, 19th September from 11.00 am. All local jams, chutneys, fruits and veg! Donations of produce are gratefully received.
What’s next?
We’ll be releasing more volunteer dates as we move into October. Watch this space and follow our Facebook for more information.
See you in Hamworthy Park.
