The Friends of Hamworthy Park would like to say a big thank you to all those who supported the produce sale on Sunday either by donating produce or purchasing it, some even buying back what they had donated!
On the Day
We were all a bit short on fresh garden produce this year as the varied weather has made it somewhat challenging to get things to grow. Luckily, this was more than made up for by the large amount of jam, marmalade, chutney and cakes that were donated.
The Next Generation
It was very encouraging to have a number of young volunteers helping on the stall – makes life easier for us old ones – so many thanks to Emilie, Chloe, Grace and Oliver, some of them had even made some of the cakes they were selling.
The Grand Total
In all it was a very successful day for FOHP the total takings being £471.15. Remember that 100% of that goes towards improvements in the park. Thank you to everyone who donated and everyone who came down to buy. See you at the next one!
