Sunday, 1st April 2018.  FoHP Easter Fayre.  This will be run in conjunction with the Café’s Easter Egg Hunt.

Our Park Spring Clean aims to bring our community together to clear up the litter before the summer begins!

Join our growing army of #LitterHeroes who have had enough of other people’s litter and are willing to do something about it.

Together we can make a difference and clean up the environment on our doorstep!

We are holding our Annual Plant sale in the area outside The Park Cafe on Sunday 20th May 2018 starting at 10.30am

If you have spare plants we would be extremely grateful for donations, please either bring them on the say or drop a message to the page and we'll organise a collection

Celebrate all things Hamworthy with a selection of local produce - jams and chutneys. Cakes and pies. Fruit and veg. Come on down and grab yourself a slice of the action.

The Friends will be in the foyer at the Coop on Blandford road on Tuesday 9th October. Pop in for all the latest park news, and to pick yourself up a 2019 FOHP calendar - Christmas cards will also be on sale - with new pictures! See you there.

The agenda for the meeting is to share news on the happenings in the park and update the Friends on various issues and projects including the latest news on the Paddling Pool project.

This will be followed by questions from the floor - this is your opportunity to ask questions, make suggestions, discuss ideas and help shape FOHP's direction for the autumn/winter period.

The Friends of Hamworthy park in association with volunteers from St

Michael's church are meeting to get the Churchyard and surrounding area clean and litter free in time for the remembrance service the following Sunday.

It's a chance to get out in the fresh air and meet people who share an interest in caring for the wonderful green space that comprises Cobbs Lane and St Micheal's Churchyard and wood.

Litter pickers and bin bags will be provided - please wear sensible shoes and bring a pair of gloves if you have them.

St Edwards School, Oakdale, Christmas Market Fair on Saturday 24th November. Selling calendars, Christmas cards and much much more!

Friends of Hamworthy Park, in association with local residents, are combating the horrible litter problem along Rigler Road and in SIG Roofing car park and green space.

Meet at the entrance to the Power Station site, by Twin Sails Car Sales 10am.

Equipment provided by Borough of Poole.

The Friends will be in the foyer of Co-op, Blandford Road, available to talk about all the news from the park, as well as selling calendars, cards and the usual fundraising bits and pieces.

On Sat Feb 9th, 10.00-12.00, we are litter picking from Boots and McCalls along the Blandford Road towards the Hamworthy Dental Practice.

We are also hoping to do a spot of gardening and get the planters outside Boots/McCalls back into some kind of order.

Due to the proximity to a big road, this pick is not recommended for smaller children. But older children with responsible adults are welcome.

Tucker's Field litter pick. Saturday 6th April. 10.00-12.00. Perfect for kids and adults alike. If we get enough volunteers, we will also litter pick the front of the library.

The annual FOHP AGM will take place on Thursday, 11th April, 7.00pm at Hamworthy Library. With the paddling pool refurbishment underway, this will be an opportunity to discuss future projects for the park and other local green spaces.

With an Easter egg hunt and all the usual fun! More details to follow.

Plants, planters, bit and bobs for your garden -  get ready for the growing season with the annual plant sale.

It's time for the annual park fete. This daytime event features a variety of children’s games and rides, along with numerous stalls. There will be music and a children’s entertainer. All-in-all, a great family day in the park!

The fence around the paddling pool needs painting so it's nice and smart.

With 5 different colours to choose from, you can come and paint a section of fence and admire it for decades to come!

FOHP Wednesday volunteers have been cleaning the fence, ready for painting.

Supervised children very welcome!

Bring old clothes that you don't mind getting splashed in paint.

It''s time to continue painting the fence around the paddling pool. After the great job done by our volunteers earlier in the summer, this is your chance to make your mark on the park. Come and paint a panel that will be in the park for years to come. Great to do with the kids...but remember to wear old clothes!

Sale of locally produced vegetables and fruit. Also homemade jams chutneys and pickles. Any donations of your surplus produce welcome.

Meet 10.00am on the lane at the side of St Michael's Churchyard (Cobb's lane - next to the Red Lion). We will be litter picking the woodland and Churchyard - if we have the numbers and the time, we will also pick around the shops and Doctor's Surgery.

As well as litter picking, you can learn all about the Bluebell Woods project and have the opportunity to help clear the woodland of invasive species - full equipment and training is provided - just wear sensible shoes.

Since our last public meeting, the paddling pool has opened! This means we are now free to pursue other projects.

So there will be plenty to talk about as we plan the next steps for our wonderful park, including painting the fence and getting the wall around the paddling pool repaired.

As well as our regular Wednesday volunteers, we'll be running our autumn/winter series of litter picks starting in September.

So come along and have your say!

Meet in the Quay School / Children's Centre car park by the Youth Centre. Litter pickers, gloves, and bags provided. We aim to litter pick the area around the buildings and in the green spaces behind.

This is a great community event led by Friends of Hamworthy Park along with Go Pladdle, Talk Moor, St Gabriel's' Church, St Gabriel's Pre-school, Turlin Moor Children's Centre, Muddy Boots, The Vine and more!

With Christmas just around the corner, here's your chance to stock up on stocking fillers and help enhance your favourite local park all at the same time.

You can get the amazing 2020 calendar and special Hamworthy Park Christmas cards - definitely something a bit different! As well as a range of other Christmas gifts on sale.

FOHP are coming to Dawkins Road Play area and the surrounding green space. There are some dedicated individuals who look after this area - we are going to give them a helping hand by removing as much litter as possible from the alleyway, Hoyal Road zig-zag and giving the area a good once over with the litter pickers.

The local community in Turlin Moor are organising regular litter picks - FOHP is going along to support.

The first sunday of every month, 10.00am at Foreland play area.

FOHP volunteers will be in the Coop Foyer - pop in for a chat and all the latest information about the park. We'll be selling all the usual cards, keyrings and coasters etc.

After the success of the wildflower area, we are expanding the bed to at least double the size.

To get started, we need to dig the area out. Come and help with this great project and make your mark on the park!
