We’re excited to invite local families for half term fun at a free, fun-filled Beach Play session this May half term at beautiful Hamworthy Park!
Taking place on Thursday 29 May from 10:00am to 12:00pm, this outdoor session is designed especially for children aged 4–11 and will be packed with nature-based activities and seaside fun.
Led by the brilliant team at Poole Forest School, with support from South Coast Adventures and our own FoHP volunteers, the session will include:
🦀 Shell collecting
🐚 Sand and water play
🎨 Nature-inspired beach crafts
🌀 Relaxed games and creative activities
Whether your child loves building in the sand, splashing in puddles, or getting stuck into messy fun, there’ll be plenty to explore — all in the fresh air and by the sea.
🧴 What to bring:
- A hat and sunscreen
- A bottle of water
- Clothes you don’t mind getting wet and sandy
👨👩👧👦 Please note: All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session.
This event is free to attend, thanks to the generous support of Dorset Community Foundation — whose funding helps us bring more nature-based activities to our local community.
If you enjoy what we do and would like to support more events like this, we’d really appreciate a small donation to help us keep going. You’ll be redirected to a donation page when you register, or you can donate anytime at http://bit.ly/fohpdonate.
